Located on the campus of the Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers headquarters in New York’s beautiful Hudson Valley, the Maryknoll Mission Archives is a collaborative office of the Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers, Maryknoll Sisters and Maryknoll Lay Missioners, all Catholic mission organizations. The organizational records and personal papers in our care document Maryknoll’s more than a century of participation in the worldwide mission of the Catholic Church in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the United States.
Job Description
The Archives seeks a creative and service-focused individual to join our team as an Archivist. This is a full-time position. Under the supervision of the Archives Director, the Archivist’s core responsibilities include the following processing, reference and outreach activities:
- Arrangement and description of paper, born-digital, audio, object and audiovisual materials
- Responding to reference inquiries and assisting visiting researchers
- Promoting interest in and utilization of the history of the Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers, Maryknoll Sisters and Maryknoll Lay Missioners by developing exhibits, creating website content and hosting tours
Qualifications for a successful candidate:
- ALA-accredited MLS/MLIS with archives concentration or MA in history with archives concentration
- Demonstrated knowledge of archival theory and practice
- Processing experience, at least 2-3 years preferred
- Commitment to excellent customer service
- Outstanding written, oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team member as well as independently
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with archival information management software such as Archon
- Familiarity with Microsoft WordPress, Adobe Photoshop, Preservica and/or Embark by Gallery Systems
- Reference experience
- Knowledge of Catholic Church history and global issues

Position Summary & Responsibilities:
The Orbis Books Acquisitions Editor develops authors and book projects for undergraduate and graduate level studies in key subject areas including ethics, theology, biblical studies, missiology, and gender studies, as well as religious studies for the general reader. The successful candidate will be able to solicit, develop, and deliver production-ready MSS for a minimum of 12 titles per year. Reporting directly to the Publisher/Editor-in-Chief, the Acquisitions Editor also attends key professional conferences, contributes to the development of a balanced editorial program, and collaborates with Marketing and Sales to maximize outreach to key constituencies and markets.
Background and Skills
- Master’s degree or equivalent in theology, ethics, religious studies
- 3-5 years of experience in acquisitions and/or editorial work at university press level
- Ability to quickly evaluate competent writing, master edit, and deliver MSS on schedule
- Excellent command of the English language and Chicago Manual of Style
- Strong computer and interpersonal skills
- Reading knowledge of a second language a plus
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- On-site; not a remote position

We are seeking 2 full-time Nursing Supervisors for evening shift (3pm- 11pm) and night shift (11pm-7am). Definite Long Term care/Clinical experience and ability to triage and assess independently. Leadership and management of shift with staff guidance and support being essential. On-site training with documentation of staff as necessary to promote policy compliance, staff performance evaluation. Reports to the Director of Nursing (DON) and communicates as indicated with the Society of Personal Services Director, especially in the absence of the DON. Implementation and compliance with all policies as defined by facility & organization. Communication with DON and Director relating to health needs of members, staffing, conduct, & building issues or any other matters pertaining to health & safety needs of members. Individual must have BSN and/or a minimum of 5 years’ experience in acute short term rehab in a supervisory/managerial role. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.

Job Description:
Candidate will develop and support all internally developed applications used by the business. A very significant portion of the work is supporting and enhancing existing applications. Candidate must be able to independently trace through existing application code to add additional features or solve problems. Development is done with a combination of ASP, and VB.NET. New development will be done in ASP.Net MVC. Applications reside on the web and on premise servers. Candidate will regularly receive help requests from customers tracked in a ticket system and respond to those requests in a timely manner. Ability to work well with a variety of customers is a must. Candidate will also build reports, assist in the update of intranet pages, and occasionally provide end user support with in-house written applications.

We are searching for a C.N.A. or HHA experienced in long-term care who will be responsible for delivering hands on patient care under the direct supervision of the Registered or Licensed Practical Nurse for the 11:00pm-7:00am shift.
• Collaborates with nursing staff and Society members to ensure efficient care delivery based on member, unit and facility needs.
• Utilizes knowledge of Society member’s age and cultural diversity as it relates to the provision of care.
• At the direction of Director/DON/Charge Nurse travels/accompanies Society Members who are sent out via Ambulance or need assistance at external care facilities.
• Relays pertinent information to hospital personnel and information from the hospital to the Nurse Supervisor/Nurse regarding care and or staff when relieved.
• Ensure safety of Society members, assist with their needs, advocate and communicate status with above.
• Must have C.N.A. or HHA certification
• Must be experienced in Long Term Geriatric care or have comparable experience.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and comply with Maryknoll policy regarding driving a Society vehicle.
• Must have a High diploma, maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA requirements.
