Job Description: Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers is seeking a Medical Claims Manager. The Medical Claims Manager will manage the Health Finance claims function with oversight of end-to-end medical claims processing, adjudication, and payment across multi-state operations, including New York, Chicago, and other territories as needed. The Medical Claims Manager will ensure compliance with federal regulations (e.g. CMS, Medicare, etc.) and applicable state laws. They are responsible for the timely enrollment of Members in all applicable insurance plans to maximize cost containment. In addition, the Medical Claims Manager will oversee EDI claims transactions, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with payer, clearinghouse, and regulatory standards including IRS compliance. They will review and audit claim data for accuracy, compliance with HIPAA guidelines, and payer-specific requirements, handling all escalations with superior customer service. The Medical Claims Manager will partner with ma to drive cost containment, regulatory compliance, operational excellence and support and motivate the development and training of staff by making short action plans to meet performance goals and provide feedback on performance. Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, information systems, finance, or a related field; or equivalent experience in healthcare claims systems management.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in medical billing, claims adjudication, electronic claims processing, EDI workflows, with working knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Strong knowledge of federal healthcare regulations, including CMS guidelines, Medicare Parts A/B/C/D, and HIPAA.
  • Demonstrated understanding of New York state regulations, including NY DFS requirements, EPIC, and other state sponsored programs.
  • Experience managing claims across multiple states, ensuring compliance with varying billing, reimbursement, and reporting rules.
  • Experience in skilled nursing facility, assisted living, or long-term care environments desired.
  • Advanced expertise with EDI transactions including 837(I/P/D), 835, 270/271, 276/277, and clearinghouse integrations.
  • Experience troubleshooting EDI rejections, payer edits, and connectivity issues across multiple state and commercial plans.
  • Experience with state-specific EDI requirements and payer enrollment processes.
  • Experience preparing for and supporting state and federal audits.
  • Ability to interpret and implement regulatory changes impacting claims processing and reimbursement.
  • Experience in New York healthcare environment preferred.
  • Background in long-term care revenue cycle operations preferred.
  • Familiarity with CMS audits, reimbursement, and value-based care models preferred.
  • Certifications such as, Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) preferred.

Job Description: Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers is seeking a Custodian/Mover to work Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm. A Custodian/Mover is responsible for, but not limited to the following:
  • Perform general cleaning of offices, bathrooms, corridors, stairwells, etc. in addition to moving furniture and other heavy objects.
  • Prepare rooms and areas for special events.
  • Work on special set-ups and cleaning projects.
  • Help with daily set-up.
  • Maintenance and order of custodial closet and equipment.
  • Communicate effectively.

Job Description: Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers is seeking a Compliance Manager. The Compliance Manager serves as the Compliance Officer and Privacy Officer and reports to the Chief Operations Officer and the General Council for Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers international and national programs. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing Maryknoll Fathers & Brothers compliance and privacy program to ensure compliance with the global General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and applicable State regulations, as well as the Office of Inspector General (OIG) Seven Elements of an Effective Compliance Program. This role serves as the primary point of contact for all compliance and privacy related matters, including patient rights, workforce training, policy enforcement, breach response, and related investigations, and internal auditing and monitoring. The Compliance Manager ensures that protected health information (PHI) is used and disclosed in accordance with global, federal and state regulations, maintains the facility’s Notice of Privacy Practices, policies and procedures and fosters a culture of confidentiality and compliance throughout the organization. The Compliance Manger leads Maryknoll Fathers & Brothers privacy program, ensuring full compliance with the global GDPR, the HIPAA Privacy Rule (45 CFR Parts 160 & 164), Title 10 of the New York Code of Rules and Regulations (NYCRR), the New York Stop Hacks and Improve Electronic Data (SHIELD Act) as well as any new global or national legislative requirements and/or new regulations. The Compliance Manager ensures the General Council, leadership, Society Members in administrative roles, and employees are in compliance with the global, federal and state rules, that Maryknoll Fathers & Brothers policies and procedures are being followed, and that behavior in the organization meets Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers Code of Conduct. The Compliance Manager oversees all internal audit and administrative functions related to the compliance and privacy program. The Compliance Manager shall be responsible for the overall development and implementation of the Maryknoll Fathers & Brothers compliance and privacy program in multiple states and internationally. Additional responsibilities will include meeting the requirements of the General Council. Qualifications:

Job Summary:

The role of the Registered Nurse is to care for patients with compassion and respect due to the inherent dignity of the individual regardless of social, economic status, personal attributes or the nature of their health problem.

  1. Advocate for all Members as needed to protect their wishes as well as their health and well-being.
  2. Oversight and appropriate delegation of duties to Licensed Practical Nurses and ancillary staff.
  3. Documentation: Subjective and objective assessment of Members health condition and coordination of a nursing plan of care
  4. Collaboration and coordination of Members care with the care team (physicians, LPNs, nursing assistants, social work, activities, appointment coordinators)
  5. Education of Members and staff on medical conditions, procedures and medications.
  6. Initiates treatments per doctors order and evaluates and documents outcomes
  7. Administration of medications and treatments per MD order.

Essential Services Personnel: are expected to report to work under all circumstances including inclement weather-related conditions, holidays, etc. They are to adhere to the shift schedules established by their supervisors or as directed by them.

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree with current valid NYS license, including all certification necessary for a renewal as required by NYS.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a long term care setting.
  • CPR certification.
  • Working knowledge of infection control practices, including but not limited to Flu and COVID, and other infectious disease response protocols and planning.
  • Must be computer literate (EHR/Microsoft Office).
  • Experience with palliative care and/or hospice care preferred.
  • Proficiency in initiating and maintaining IV therapy treatment as ordered by the Physician, or willingness to learn within 6 months required.
