Job Description: Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers is seeking a Custodian/Mover to work Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm. A Custodian/Mover is responsible for, but not limited to the following:
  • Perform general cleaning of offices, bathrooms, corridors, stairwells, etc. in addition to moving furniture and other heavy objects.
  • Prepare rooms and areas for special events.
  • Work on special set-ups and cleaning projects.
  • Help with daily set-up.
  • Maintenance and order of custodial closet and equipment.
  • Communicate effectively.
  • Read and follow instructions of manuals and Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers policies.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Required to work occasional weekends (about 10 major events a year) and overtime as needed.

This is an Essential Services Personnel position. Job Description: Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers is seeking a Compliance Manager. The Compliance Manager serves as the Compliance Officer and Privacy Officer and reports to the Chief Operations Officer and the General Council for Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers international and national programs. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing Maryknoll Fathers & Brothers compliance and privacy program to ensure compliance with the global General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and applicable State regulations, as well as the Office of Inspector General (OIG) Seven Elements of an Effective Compliance Program. This role serves as the primary point of contact for all compliance and privacy related matters, including patient rights, workforce training, policy enforcement, breach response, and related investigations, and internal auditing and monitoring. The Compliance Manager ensures that protected health information (PHI) is used and disclosed in accordance with global, federal and state regulations, maintains the facility’s Notice of Privacy Practices, policies and procedures and fosters a culture of confidentiality and compliance throughout the organization. The Compliance Manager ensures the General Council, leadership, Society Members in administrative roles, and employees are in compliance with the global, federal and state rules, that Maryknoll Fathers & Brothers policies and procedures are being followed, and that behavior in the organization meets Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers Code of Conduct. The Compliance Manager oversees all internal audit and administrative functions related to the compliance and privacy program. The Compliance Manager shall be responsible for the overall development and implementation of the Maryknoll Fathers & Brothers compliance and privacy program in multiple states and internationally. Additional responsibilities will include meeting the requirements of the General Council. Qualifications:

  3. Documentation: Subjective and objective assessment of Members health condition and coordination of a nursing plan of care
  4. Collaboration and coordination of Members care with the care team (physicians, LPNs, nursing assistants, social work, activities, appointment coordinators)
  5. Education of Members and staff on medical conditions, procedures and medications.
  6. Initiates treatments per doctors order and evaluates and documents outcomes
  7. Administration of medications and treatments per MD order.

Essential Services Personnel: are expected to report to work under all circumstances including inclement weather-related conditions, holidays, etc. They are to adhere to the shift schedules established by their supervisors or as directed by them.

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree with current valid NYS license, including all certification necessary for a renewal as required by NYS.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a long term care setting.
  • CPR certification.
  • Working knowledge of infection control practices, including but not limited to Flu and COVID, and other infectious disease response protocols and planning.
  • Must be computer literate (EHR/Microsoft Office).
  • Experience with palliative care and/or hospice care preferred.
  • Proficiency in initiating and maintaining IV therapy treatment as ordered by the Physician, or willingness to learn within 6 months required.
