The calling of a lifetime
A MISSION OF UNCONDITIONAL LOVE
The life of a Maryknoll missioner is challenging, fulfilling, and deeply rewarding. Follow your baptismal call to mission by sharing God’s compassion with the poor, the sick, and people most in need.
A calling of a lifetime
A NEW WAY OF EXPERIENCING GOD EVERYDAY
Through baptism, Jesus calls on us all to be missioners. He calls some of us to a uniquely enriching life overseas, serving God’s children in need as missionary priests and brothers.
Are you called to a life of mission, to live the sacraments and preach the gospel by feeding the hungry, healing the sick, and reaching out to outcasts?

A Life of Mission
Are you called to a life of mission, to live the sacraments and preach the gospel by feeding the hungry, healing the sick, and reaching out to outcasts?
Maryknollers are compassionate, adventurous, embrace unknown lands and cultures, and model the mercy of Jesus.
Since 1911, Catholics in the US have responded to the worldwide cry of the poor by becoming Maryknoll Missioners. Today, Maryknollers help people overseas build communities of faith.
Some work in war zones with refugees, others minister to the sick, the elderly, orphans or people with AIDS. Through lives of service, Maryknollers translate the gospel of love into different languages and in different cultures.
Social Justice and Caring for God’s Creation
We live in solidarity with the poor around the world, and actively support them through advocacy, solidarity and education. As missionaries, we are called to lend a strong voice to the poor, the neglected, and those living on the margins of society. Maryknollers are also committed to caring for our planet and all of God’s Creation
We believe that every creature has the right to be, the right to its habitat, and the right to make its own contribution to all of life.
Maryknoll celebrates our interconnectedness with Earth, the responsibility to care for our common home, and applauds Pope Francis’ advocacy to act decisively to save Earth and humanity — particularly displaced and marginalized communities who carry the greatest burden from climate change.
