Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at 6:30 p.m., is the Annual Memorial Mass for Father Vincent Capodanno, M.M. (Servant of God). His Excellency, the Most Reverend Timothy P. Broglio, Archbishop for the Military Services, USA, will be the main celebrant and homilist.
This annual Mass is celebrated for the repose of Father Vincent R. Capodanno, a Maryknoll Missioner and Catholic Military Chaplain and U.S. Navy Lieutenant who was killed in Vietnam on September 4, 1967, as he gave physical and spiritual assistance to wounded and dying Marines of the ist Marine Division during battle with the North Vietnamese Army. https://www.nationalshrine.org/mass/
