Voices Of Our World
Winter 2024
Greetings as we await and celebrate the birth of our Risen Savior! In our Christmas 2024 Vocation Ministries newsletter, Fr. Rodrigo reminds discerners that missionaries are sent forth to give witness to the greatest story ever told — the story of Jesus inspiring awe and wonder among all who approach a humble manager in an overlooked village. When our lives are seen and experienced in light of Jesus’ story, our own stories take on new clarity and meaning. This season, we also invite prayer for our Maryknoll candidates who seek and give witness to the Kingdom of God through their missionary calling. And, we announce our upcoming Holy Week Missionary Discernment Retreat in El Paso, TX, April 16th – 20th, 2025. Please consider joining us for it! Blessings as you follow the light of God’s love shining in your own life.

The Vocation Story of the Three Magi Narrated Through a Different Route By Fr. Rodrigo Ulloa M.M.
The gospel of Mathew 2:12 recounts an interesting fact, namely that the three magi “returned to their country by a different route.” But what’s missing in this part of the story? The star. The star which guided them into Bethlehem is not with them anymore, the star is...
