Job Description:
Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers is seeking a full-time Procurement Manager. Our Procurement Manager is responsible for contractual project management and ERP contract module system procurement management in support of effective sourcing operations across Society divisions, units, and functions. Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Project-manage contractual operations, from initial draft to final deliverables. Develop and/or refine request-for-proposal (RFP) drafts across all Society units. Includes scopes of work (SOWs), legal reviews, negotiation of terms, expirations, renewal notifications and as needed, receiving and negotiating issues of dispute.
- Research and vet new vendors that offer services to benefit the needs and cost concerns of the Society. Assess their data to current vendor roster(s) and include vetted companies in the RFP process for project owners to consider regarding award of work.
- Serve as Procurement’s advisor and lead toward future system development upgrades of the Contract Management System (CMS) module for ERP.
- Ongoing subject matter Expert (SME) and advisor toward detailed customization and next-phase refinements of CMS. Attend all training, scripting and testing sessions to help ensure smooth transitions to updates across the Society’s divisions and units. Provide ongoing CMS training to end-users, approvers, and the Procurement team.
- Provide guidelines and recommendations to management and Procurement staff as needed, on specific contracts, letters of agreement (LOAs), campus leases and non-disclosure agreements (NDAs).
- Partner with the Senior Manager of Procurement Services to ensure compliance with all elements of procurement operations, and to provide guidance and support. In the absence of the Senior Manager of Procurement, serve as acting manager for the department.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or Supply Chain Management is required.
- Paralegal certification is preferred or willingness to earn paralegal certification.
- Minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in a variety of relevant operational management functions related or transitional to procurement operations.
- Must be highly adept in project management and skilled in setting and monitoring contractual timelines.
- Solid contract, scope-of-work, and request-for-proposal drafting skills required.
- Detailed knowledge of procurement processes and supply chain management required.
- Strong operational, organizational, strategic planning and administrative skills.
- Exceptional negotiation and vetting knowledge across multiple supply categories required.
- Excellent computer knowledge that includes an ERP customized system and MS Office applications.
- Strong oral & written communication proficiency and strong cross-functional collaboration strength.
- Must have ability to work independently, coordinate and follow up on projects.
- Management experience with digital, print and production vendors is preferred.
- Mentoring and strong leadership skills required.
Salary: $105,670 per year.
Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 8:00am – 5:15pm or Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm
