Who We Are:

Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers – also known as the Catholic Foreign Mission Society of America, Inc. – was founded in 1911 with the support of the Bishops of the United States to be the chief mission outreach of the Catholic Church in the United States.  We currently serve in 20 countries worldwide – especially among the poor. 

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Per Diem Driver to provide safe and timely transportation of Maryknoll Members to and from medical appointments, hospital admissions, hospital discharges. Driving for other Maryknoll related business such as: medication and/or medical supply pick-up and delivery, document deliveries.

This is considered an essential services position. Personnel are expected to report to work under all circumstances including inclement weather-related conditions, holidays, etc. They are to adhere to the shift schedules established by their supervisors or as directed by them.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of three (3) years of safe driving and possession of valid New York Driver’s License with a clear driving record.
• Be motivated, dependable and self-disciplined in carrying out the duties as driver
• Be able to remain in control of and drive safely the medical vehicle or other house cars required for carrying out your duties.
• Exhibit understanding, patience and kindness in working with Senior Missioners. Be sensitive to the religious beliefs of a Catholic Community of Senior Missioners.
• Be in good physical condition to assist the residents into and out of vehicles, into and out of wheelchairs and pushing the wheelchairs to appointments and destinations.
• Be able to safely use and transport wheelchairs and other assist devices needed by the residents.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of all medical information and situations of residents and staff.
• Ability to communicate with cell phone and Bluetooth.
• Basic computer skills are preferred.

This position is non-exempt with an hourly rate of $19.00 per hour.
