Mission Formation Ministers: Faith Formation Community Outreach and Hispanic/Latino Leaders
Maryknoll Fathers & Brothers (CFMSA) – El Paso, TX
Job description
About Maryknoll and the Mission Formation Ministry:
Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers is a Catholic missionary organization
committed to making God’s love visible in the world through accompaniment,
solidarity, and witness to the Gospel. Rooted in over a century of
cross-cultural mission, Maryknoll fosters a deep commitment to justice, peace,
and global solidarity.
The Mission Formation Ministry (MFM) equips U.S. Catholics to live as missionary
disciples through faith formation, mission education, immersion experiences,
and pastoral outreach. We accompany individuals and communities—including young
adults, Hispanic/Latino leaders, especially catechists, teachers, and parish
leaders—in responding to the Gospel call to transformative mission.
Position Summary:
Maryknoll is seeking two collaborative and mission-oriented Mission

Both positions will lead initiatives that engage and accompany those involved in parish, diocesan, and campus-based faith formation. This role is vital to building partnerships, delivering dynamic mission education, facilitating immersion experiences, and offering formation resources that empower Church leaders and educators to form others as missionary disciples.
The minister will collaborate with other team members to deliver high-quality programming and support the strategic goals of Maryknoll’s Mission Formation Ministry, with particular emphasis on catechists, pastoral ministers, and faith formation leaders.
Education: B.A. or B.S., as well as a graduate degree in theology or pastoral ministry, or equivalent experience in the areas of theology, catechesis, mission, social justice, teaching, pastoral ministry, etc. is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Cultivation & Collaboration: Build and sustain relationships with leaders in faith formation,
catechetical, and pastoral ministry at the parish, diocesan, and campus levels.
Represent Maryknoll in regional and national networks and events.

workshops, retreats, parish missions, and online classes—especially for those
forming others in the faith.
Immersion Experiences: Design and lead international and domestic immersion trips in collaboration with faith formation programs, including all stages of trip
preparation, facilitation, and post-trip reflection.
Resource Development: Create and promote engaging mission-focused print and digital materials tailored to the needs of formation and pastoral leaders.
Vocational Promotion: Integrate vocational awareness into all ministry activities and
support the work of Maryknoll’s Vocations Ministry by identifying and
encouraging potential candidates.
Team Contribution: Participate actively in planning, reporting, evaluation, and team
collaboration to strengthen the overall impact of the Mission Formation
Ministry.
General Administration: Maintain records, ensure timely reporting, comply with all
