For many people living with blindness in Peru, opportunities for education and employment are extremely limited. Maryknoll supports the House of Bartimaeus in Lima, a unique training center that empowers blind and visually impaired individuals through professional education in Massage Therapy, Reflexology, and Shiatsu. Taught by licensed blind instructors who serve as role models and mentors, the program provides students with practical skills that lead to meaningful employment and greater independence. Since its founding, the center has helped numerous graduates build sustainable careers and support their families with dignity. Your support helps create opportunities, foster self-sufficiency, and affirm the God-given value and potential of every person.
