When two American priests from distinctly different backgrounds met in Montreal in 1910, they both recognized that the Church would not flourish until it sent missioners overseas, so began formulating plans to establish a seminary for foreign missionaries.
The Maryknoll Family
The Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers are one of four entities within the grander Maryknoll organization.
The Catholic Foreign Mission Society of America, Inc. (the “Maryknoll Society”) does not sponsor the Maryknoll Affiliate movement; groups identifying as Maryknoll Affiliates are not corporate subsidiaries or affiliates of the Maryknoll Society as a juridical entity; and they are not agents or representatives of the Maryknoll Society. Specific actions and views expressed by these groups are not necessarily those of the Maryknoll Society, and the Society is not liable for their activities. The name “Maryknoll” is a registered trademark of the Maryknoll Society.
