Urgent Food Relief for Displaced Families in Kenya
Help Bring Hope and Vital Aid to Families in Crisis
Dear Friend of Maryknoll
The people of Migori and Narok County, Kenya, are enduring the devastating effects of prolonged tribal and ethnic conflict between the Kipsigis and Kuria communities. As a result, over 200 families have been displaced, leaving them in urgent need of food assistance. Additionally, two secondary schools, whose students are currently sitting for crucial KCSE exams, face critical food shortages.
Our friend, Dr. Joseph Mahiri, Deputy Governor of Migori County, recently shared the hardships these families face:
“Yesterday I visited families displaced by fighting… Over 200 families are in need of food assistance. I humbly request help for them as we work to normalize the situation.”
