Together, we can empower Nairobi’s future. Support EDARP today.
Empowering Hope and Health in Nairobi’s Eastern Deanery
Since 1993, the Eastern Deanery AIDS Relief Program (EDARP) has been a lifeline for thousands in Nairobi. Founded by Father Edward Phillips, M.M., in response to a heartfelt call from the Roman Catholic priests of the Eastern Deanery, EDARP has grown to become one of Kenya’s largest and most impactful HIV/AIDS treatment and prevention programs.
With 13 clinics across Nairobi, EDARP serves over 30,000 adults and children, offering essential AIDS care, anti-retroviral treatment, and a special focus on maternal-to-child transmission prevention. Our well-baby clinics not only provide immunization for underserved children but also screen infants at risk of HIV, protecting the next generation.
Each year, more than 50,000 clients receive critical counseling and testing services, supported by a dedicated network of over 300 volunteers. Join us in our mission to continue the legacy of Fr. Ed Phillips and extend the reach of EDARP’s life-changing services.
Show you care.
A personal note from
Fr. Edwards Phillips, M.M.
Hello,
May the Blessings of the season be with you!
I hope, if you’ve read this far, you are thinking about how much good your Giving Tuesday gift can do. The truth is, you can’t even imagine the difference your gifts make in the lives of people and communities.
Many of you know that I spent more than thirty years living among and working with the people of eastern Africa. I can tell you they are among the neediest people on earth. And so are the people Fr. John Barth, M.M. works with on the Thai-Myanmar border. And that Fr. Joyalito Tajonera, M.M. works with in Taiwan. And that Fr. Greg McPhee, M.M. works with in Bolivia.
We are called, in the spirit of mission, to serve these people. And when you send a Giving Tuesday gift you become our partner in that endeavor.
To see a child’s face light up with joy because there’s food. To see the relief on a mother’s face when she learns she no longer needs to walk four miles to clean water. To see a farmer relieved that the crops are growing despite the paltry rain. These are small miracles that you help make possible.
Thank you for supporting our work.
May God bless you this holiday season.
Fr. Edward Phillips, M.M.
