World Mission Sunday

October 19, 2025

A Day of Unity in Faith and Action

On October 19, we celebrate World Mission Sunday, a special occasion when Catholics worldwide come together in prayer, solidarity, and action to share the life of Jesus Christ. This year we invite you to unite with us in person at the Maryknoll Society Center for presentations and conversations with Maryknoll Missioners who have served in Asia, Africa and Latin America. There will also be special musical offerings to entertain you.

Why World Mission Sunday Matters

The mission of the Church is as relevant today as it was when Christ first sent His disciples into the world. Despite the changes in our global landscape, the essential human needs for love, compassion, truth, and justice remain constant. Our mission, as the Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers, is to be the hands and feet of Christ, serving especially the most vulnerable.

Our Mission and Your Role

As members of the Maryknoll Society, we are blessed to work in some of the world’s most remote and impoverished areas. With your support, we can:

Announce the Good News

Share the message of Christ and build up His Church.

Provide Essential Services

Implement water projects, deliver education, and offer healthcare where it’s needed most.

Bring Hope and Love

Serve those who experience despair and loneliness, reminding them they are not alone.

Get Involved This World Mission Sunday

This year, we encourage you to join us in Christ’s mission through your prayers and generous support. Every contribution, no matter how small, can create a significant impact in the lives of those we serve.

How to Participate

Pray: Keep our missioners and those we serve in your prayers.

Volunteer: Join us as a volunteer and help spread the message of God’s love.

Donate: Your financial support can help transform lives and communities.

Together, We Are Christ’s Global Family

We are grateful for your generosity and commitment to our shared mission. May Almighty God—Father, Son, and Spirit—bless you abundantly for your prayers and support. Together, we are united in mission, bringing hope, faith, and love to our sisters and brothers around the world.
