This project is for the drilling and equipping of a well at St. Francis of Assisi Outstation, Ngaikini, in the semi-arid region of Kibwezi in southeastern Kenya. The well is located on 3.5 acres fully registered with the Ministry of Lands and owned by the Catholic Church. St. Francis Outstation is located near a small village of 500 inhabitants that is also a market area for local produce. The nearest major source of water is the Athi River, approximately 20 km away. There are no other water sources, namely, dammed reservoirs or piped water.
You can help Fr. John Waldrep with successful drilling of the well at St. Francis of Assisi Outstation, Ngaikini, and the availability of water for over 8,000 students and townspeople.
