China Teachers Program

Region:

China

Missioner Responsible:

Fr. Brian Barrons, M.M.

The Maryknoll China Teachers are employed in a few Chinese universities, such as Jilin Medical University, North China University and at St Joseph Seminary in Jilin City. An ongoing project for over twenty years, this project encompasses all expenses related to the China Teachers Program. This year, the project allows for the education of three teachers during the spring semester and a summer program for three or four teachers. Fr. Barrons’ team helps with recruiting, placing teachers and relationships with the local universities. Over the years, 38 American seminarians from the North American College in Rome have participated in the summer program.

“And he gave some as apostles, others as prophets, others as evangelists, others as pastors and teachers”   Ephesians 4:11
