Alcoholism is an issue in the central area of Kenya where many unemployed youth use and abuse alcohol.  The Alcoholic Drinks Control Act of 2010 restricts the sale of alcohol between 5 pm and 11 pm, but drinkers are finding their way around the curfew. Government statistics also show that alcohol and drug abuse is highest among young adults aged 15 to 29 years and lowest among adults of 65 years and older.

Father John Conway, M.M., heads a much-needed program that provides care and assistance for individuals abusing alcohol and drugs.  This program helps restore self-worth and strengthens family relationships.
