(Kenya) Mutamaiyo Peace Primary School Construction
Molo is a small town located 200 kilometers from Nairobi. It has been the center of ethnic clashes since the mult-party democracy system in Kenya in 1992. It was among the worst hit during the 2007-08 post-election violence where more than 400 people were killed, 250,000 displaced and 80,000 houses torched. The conflict is usually between the Agikuyu, Kalenjin and the Abagusii who live in the constituency.
With the success of the inter-ethnic peace sports program under the direction of Father Lance Nadeau, M.M., an inter-ethnic primary school will be built to accommodate approximately 40 students.
Your gift enables the local community to buy the materials needed to construct the school.
