(Guatemala) Remate Parish Construction
The main church of the Remate Parish has been under construction for over three years. So far, the parts of the structure that are in place are the walls, roof and rough cement floor. The completion can be slow because the funds mostly come from the generosity of the poor parishioners who also donate their time and labor. Our sister parish in Illinois have donated the money for the roof.
The need of utmost importance right now is to procure windows with protective bars and the doors so that the church would be secure. There are still a lot to be done such as plastering the walls, laying down the ceramic for the floors, installing electricity and light fixtures and painting the inside and outside of the church. All these will be contributed locally with their own funds and labor.
With your generous support, Father William Senger, M.M., would be able to have the large windows with their protective bars and the two main doors installed.
