Job Description:     Shipping Clerk responsibilities include:

 Examine shipping invoices and requisitions; select correct books or materials, pack and ship via instructions to meet delivery dates. Deliver materials and orders to receipt..

Accept incoming shipments; verify P.O. specifications for quality, quantity and accuracy. Document receipt of goods

Upload shipping address information into P.C. shipping system. Document all transactions. Save all transactions to disk for verification and tracking purposes. Print out daily reports for management

Examine all returned merchandise; inspect for damage and wear. Document quantities and item numbers being returned to stock. Return materials and supplies to designated areas. Maximize storage space by condensing inventory whenever to possible Return materials and supplies to designated areas. Report counts to management

Assist all departments and Society members with their packing and shipping needs. Advise them on various options available and postage costs.

 Operate all the various types of lifts, trucks and jacks in a safe manner to move, store and deliver material and supplies to all Center Departments.
