We are seeking a Major Gift Officer Coordinator within our Mission Advancement Gift Planning Unit. This leadership role will be responsible to create and implement a Gift Planning Unit strategy to identify and inspire new donor support while continuing to nurture existing donor loyalty. This will include the development of a comprehensive relationship-building program including cultivation and communication, creation of short and long-range fundraising plans and programs that include major and planned gifts, corporate and foundation gifts and grants that support the organization’s Mission Vision and the Strategic Mission Plan. Must have extensive experience in motivating, evaluating and mentoring a highly productive Major Gift Officer Development team.
Our preferred candidate must have 10-15 years of positive results in a Major Gift Fundraising Management role with proven expertise in strategic plan development. Expertise in cultivating non-profit major donors is essential to include; goal development, target audience selection, tracking and evaluation, grant writing and project management. Management of annuities and legacies is preferred. Ideally the candidate will have experience in raising funds in the Catholic arena.
Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in non-profit fundraising. Alternatively, a degree in public relations, business, communications, or other applicable field. Master’s Degree is desirable.
CFRE (Certified Fund Raising Executive) is required. ACFRE (Advanced Certified Fundraising Executive) is desirable.
