Senior Internal Auditor

Is looking for a motivated Senior Internal Auditor to assist the Manager of Internal Audit in promoting the value of Internal Audit within Maryknoll by providing strategic thinking to the audit process, identifying areas of risk and noncompliance, creating solutions to improve efficiencies within key business processes, and bring analytical skills to the forefront of every Internal Audit project. As Senior Internal Auditor, you will have the opportunity to be involved in the audit process from start to finish helping develop and review the audit plan, assess areas of risk within Maryknoll, prepare and execute scheduled and ad-hoc audits, report on improvements in business processes to senior management and provide consulting to various business units on financial, IT and operational processes.  The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills (oral and written), be able to work independently, have good critical thinking skills, excellent technical skills in using data analysis software such as Galvanize (ACL), IDEA or Tableau, and good time management skills.

Ideal candidate must be able to:

  • Collaborate with Internal Auditor on development and changes to audit plan
  • Assist the Manager of Internal Auditor in performing periodic risk assessments at business unit level and organization wide level
  • Plan and perform financial, operational and IT compliance audits
  • Responsible for documenting audit procedures using audit management software
  • Identify the root causes of control failures or areas of improvements and recommend corrective actions
  • Review controls over information technology in areas such as data security (access), systems development and implementation, and business system capabilities
  • Maintain electronic audit documentation (using data analysis software) and evidence to support findings and recommendations
  • Communicate findings, opportunities and observations to all levels of management
  • Assist in the implementation of automated audit techniques to improve audit efficiencies
  • Update Internal Audit Manual policies and procedures based on evolving audit work performed
  • Provide periodic training and consulting services to business units on compliance, fraud prevention and/or other financial and IT-related areas
  • Perform special audits, investigations, and/or ad-hoc projects as assigned by the General Council or Audit Committee

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Risk Management, Information Systems, Economics or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Internal Audit or related audit consulting and/or advisory engagements
  • Certification or certification in progress as one of the following: CIA(Certified Internal Auditor), CFE(Certified Fraud Examiner), CISA(Certified Information Systems Auditor), CRMA(Certified Risk Management Assurance) etc. required
  • Strong proficiency in internal auditing principles and best practices
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of IIA Standards
  • Demonstrated knowledge of COSO Integrated Frameworks for Internal Control and Enterprise Risk Management
  • Understanding or familiarity with General IT Controls (GITC) and COBIT
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficiency in Galvanize(ACL), IDEA, Tableau or Python to develop data analytical audit techniques
  • Experience in Not-for-Profit and/or Governmental Sector is required.
  • Travel required: approximately 5%

Help Desk Support/Junior Network Admin

Help Desk Support/Junior Network Admin to troubleshoot desktop issues and support network switches while providing excellent support to our users.

Education Required: Associates degree in Information Technology or equivalent. CompTIA A+ Certification is required.

Experience Required: 3 to 5 years of experience supporting and troubleshooting PC, Macs, Printers and Networks. Knowledge of Microsoft Office is a must.

Skills Required:

• Ability to implement, support and troubleshoot, standalone and networked Intel based PC and Macintosh (Apple) computing equipment.
• Possess a strong knowledge of the standard desktop software applications/operating systems and applications in use at Maryknoll
• Possess knowledge and use of SCCM
• Ability to effectively communicate and share that knowledge with other IT technicians.
• Provide various technology resolutions related to advanced Client Support calls.
• Administrative support for network switches, Wi-Fi Access Points and network cable installation.
• Experience with imaging computers and pushing image to new machines

Job Description:
Candidate will provide desktop technical support for Maryknoll customer base. Implement PC and Macintosh related projects and document client support resolutions and project summaries. Share knowledge of PC and Macintosh equipment with other IT staff members. Candidate will regularly receive help requests from customers tracked in a ticket system and respond to those requests in a timely manner. Ability to work well with a variety of customers is a must.

Full Stack Application Developer

Full Stack Application Developer to develop and support new and existing application systems while providing excellent support to our users.

Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

Experience Required: 3 to 5 years of experience developing and supporting applications and databases.

Skills Required:
• ASP.Net Core Web Development (C#, VB, HTML5, CSS, and Javascript)
• Microsoft SQL Server Development (ETL – using SQL procs and/or SSIS)
• SSRS Custom Report Writing
• MS 2019 Access Development and Support using (VBA)
• Ability to decode and understand legacy ASP
• Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle
• Ability to integrate and support commercial systems
• Ability to provide excellent support to the user community
• Ability for clear verbal and written communication

Job Description:
Candidate will develop and support all internally developed applications used by the business. A very significant portion of the work is supporting and enhancing existing applications. Candidate must be able to independently trace through existing application code to add additional features or solve problems. Development is done with a combination of ASP, Access, and VB.NET. Mission Region Accounting Supervisor

Job Description:

Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers, a non-profit known as the Catholic Foreign Mission Society of America,
is looking for a Mission Region Accounting Supervisor.

 

The Mission Region Accounting Supervisor will work as a part of a team and will manage all financial operations for the overseas Mission Regions and Units. This position will include a variety of responsibilities, from oversight of all general ledger activity to the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports, remittances and related analysis for management. This position will also oversee the preparation of the annual budget for the Mission Regions. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for supervising one accounting staff member, including training, coaching, and performance evaluations.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring that internal practices are adhered to and efficiently implemented.
  • Review and analyze financial statements of the Mission Regions and Units.
  • Effectively communicate and advise overseas Superiors and subordinates on all financial matters.
  • Oversee timely and accurate financial report submission for Mission Regions and Units.
  • Review and approve monthly remittances, Members payroll schedule, bank reconciliations, etc.
  • Prepare and review monthly and quarterly analysis reports.
  • Coordinate, supervise, review, and report on the annual budget for Mission Regions and Units.
  • Apostolic Project Committee member.
  • Research, document and report on “Special Projects” as directed by Leadership.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
  • 3-4 years of solid accounting experience.
  • Not-for-profit experience preferred.
  • Experience with international locations including an understanding of foreign currency preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, project management, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills. Proficiency in MS Office and QuickBooks.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to complete job responsibilities with minimal assistance and the ability to identify when help is needed.
  • Able to work in team environment and must be comfortable working in a result oriented environment requiring overtime (on an as needed basis) and the meeting of fixed deadlines.
