Job Description:

Reporting to the COO, the Director of Development is responsible for strategic plan development, tactical execution, analysis and results reporting for all Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers fundraising efforts excluding church dates. Oversight of multiple units include; direct marketing, gift planning (major gifts, planned giving, annuities, prospect research) digital marketing and special events. Cross functional leadership will include collaboration and direction to those departments related to or in support of fundraising initiatives, (Magazines, Mission Formation, etc.) as well as various support divisions and other departments across the organization.

The primary objective of this role is to integrate the short, mid and long term fundraising objectives of the Society within the context of the Society Mission Vision and the Strategic Mission Plan to create a fact based and effective 10 year fundraising strategy with detailed 3 year fundraising tactical plans. This includes oversight of strategy development, content creation (for all platforms – print, digital), design, internal review/approval procedures, vendor management, production, dissemination, and evaluation of all fundraising initiatives.

The Director of Development will possess breadth and depth of expertise in each of the following areas; strategic planning (evaluation of the overall fundraising landscape, forecasting trends, analysis of prior and current Maryknoll initiatives, competitive religious/Catholic/secular fundraising best practices), expertise in selecting, optimizing, coordinating and evaluating content for all fundraising platforms (print, digital ((Website, Email & Social Media)), events), continued engagement of current donors, targeting and converting new donors. Experienced in development and execution of all traditional and best practice fundraising tactics tailored to various demographic groups (Boomers, X & Y Gen., Millennials, Multi- ethnic, Multi-lingual, etc.) is essential. Objective evaluation of all external vendors to assess quality and cost effectiveness of their work will be a priority. If required, lead an RFP process to identify alternatives. This position is responsible for prompt problem resolution in all areas of fundraising.

Prior success in establishing fact based objectives with appropriate metric capture to evaluate results is required. Experience in ROI improvement to optimize cost effectiveness is essential. In addition to proven capabilities as a fundraiser, a critical success factor for this role is to provide effective leadership. Fostering a team spirit that proactively exhibits positive collaboration within all development members and partners is essential. Experienced in assessing staff capabilities and skill sets to identify gaps and mentor or engage training to improve same

These programs will inspire donors to support the Society spiritually and financially. The Development Director will exhibit a passion for Maryknoll Fathers & Brothers charism and mission overall to ensure fundraising efforts contribute to the long range financial stability of Maryknoll Fathers & Brothers.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in related field
  • A minimum of 10 years in senior level, non-profit fundraising leadership roles.
  • Religious/Catholic experience preferred.
  • Articulate leader able to create and implement programs to educate, inspire and motivate existing donors and acquisition of new donors to achieve income targets.
  • Design and implementation of multi-faceted marketing and communications strategies
  • Ability to plan, initiate and implement new development programs to expand the donor base.
  • Knowledge of Catholic fundraising and culture.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically. Experience in developing fundraising strategies and tactics that are fact based and aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Highly adept at peer group assessment, target audience selection, tailored messaging and development best practices.
  • Proven success in delivering new revenue sources through development, production and implementation of integrated programs using direct mail, major gifts, planned giving, website, email and social media and special events.
  • Deep understanding of relevant metrics to evaluate program effectiveness and ability to course correct.
  • Development/management of complex targets and budget management experience.
  • Experience and ability in communicating the mission, vision, values and compelling cases to multiple audiences, one-on-one and through formal proposals, correspondence and presentations.
  • Experienced in working with computerized donor management systems; Portfolio/Donor Perfect, Engaging Network and other marketing communication tools.
  • Thorough understanding of senior level employee management techniques. Effective collaborator with cross functional partnering success.
  • Highly proficient in motivating direct reports, providing impartial and objective guidance. Able to mentor high potential employees to assume greater responsibility.
  • Successful in problem solving and conflict resolution.
  • Highly organized, creative, pro-active, detail oriented, and able to prioritize with effective time management and troubleshooting skills.
  • Creative, out- of- the box thinker and problem solver.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally.
  • 10%+ travel required.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) a plus

We are seeking a full-time Registered Nurse/Charge Nurse to work 7:00am to 3:00pm.

Job Summary:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a hands on clinical supervisory position (Charge RN, Lead RN, etc.) in an acute care, rehabilitation, skilled nursing and/or long term care setting.
  • Proficiency in initiating and maintaining IV therapy treatment as ordered by the Physician preferred. Willingness to be trained in IV therapy required.
  • Working knowledge of infection control practices, including but not limited to Flu and COVID, and other infectious disease response protocols and planning.
  • Must be computer literate (EHR/Microsoft Office).
  • Experience with palliative care and/or hospice care preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Assure continuity of care, maintain legal documentation of care as required by law and guarantee nursing best practices are followed within defined scope of practice.
  • Collaborates and communicates with DON, Director of Society Personnel Services, other medical staff and Society Members to ensure efficient care delivery based on a Member’s needs.
  • Supports the Organization’s vision and mission.
  • Utilizes knowledge of Member’s age and cultural diversity as it relates to the provision of care.
  • Ability to perform assessments and triage independently with reporting to the DON and Charge Nurse. Flexibility is a must.

Requirements and qualifications

  • A NYS RN License is required along with Long Term care or Sub-Acute experience.
  • Clinic or Doctor’s Office experience is beneficial.

Education: BSN preferred with current NYS License.

Hourly Rate for Night Shift: $52.40 per hour plus a 10% shift differential.

Nurse Manager

We are seeking a full-time Nurse Manager to work Monday through Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm.

Job Summary:

  1. Use of nursing, leadership and administrative experience to plan, oversee and be responsible for the delivery of care in both Assisted Living and Health Services Monday through Friday 9:00am-5:00pm.
  2. Use of Maryknoll provided phone in order for staff to have 24/7 access to Manager.
  3. Oversight of staff to insure adherence to current facility policies and procedures.
  4. Collaboration with Nursing Supervisors to implement regular staff meetings, case presentations and in-services.
  5. Conduct Nursing Supervisors and Charge Nurses performance evaluations.
  6. Maintenance of quality assurance measures through review, audit and oversight.
  7. Oversight of clinical care and operations.
  8. Collaboration with the nursing staff and medical team to insure continuity of care.
  9. Respond to all reports of staff misconduct with verbal or written warnings to insure safe, respectful and productive atmosphere.
  10. Respond to all reports of concerning resident or visitor conduct to insure safety to residents, staff and other visitors to building.
  11. Work with Nursing Supervisors to monitor and maintain safe staffing levels.

Qualifications:

  • RN with current unencumbered New York State License. BSN or related bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse within an acute care, rehabilitation, skilled nursing and/or long term care setting with at least 2 years as a Nursing Supervisor, Manager, or equivalent position.
  • Excellent clinical and communication skills with demonstrated ability to mentor, influence, and motivate unit staff.
  • Proficiency in initiating and maintaining IV therapy treatment as ordered by the Physician, or willingness to learn within 6 months required.
  • Working knowledge of Infection control practices, including but not limited to Flu and COVID and other infectious disease response protocols and planning.
  • Must be computer literate (EHR/Microsoft Office).

MISSION REGION ACCOUNTING SUPERVISOR

Job Description:

Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers,a non-profit known as the Catholic Foreign Mission Society of America, is looking for a Mission Region Accounting Supervisor.

The Mission Region Accounting Supervisor will work as a part of a team and will manage all financial operations for the overseas Mission Regions and Units. This position will include a variety of responsibilities, from oversight of all general ledger activity to the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports, remittances and related analysis for management. This position will also oversee the preparation of the annual budget for the Mission Regions. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for supervising one accounting staff member, including training, coaching, and performance evaluations.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring that internal practices are adhered to and efficiently implemented. 
  • Review and analyze financial statements of the Mission Regions and Units.
  • Effectively communicate and advise overseas Superiors and subordinates on all financial matters.
  • Oversee timely and accurate financial report submission for Mission Regions and Units.
  • Review and approve monthly remittances, Members payroll schedule, bank reconciliations, etc.
  • Prepare and review monthly and quarterly analysis reports.
  • Coordinate, supervise, review, and report on the annual budget for Mission Regions and Units.
  • Apostolic Project Committee member.
  • Research, document and report on “Special Projects” as directed by Leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.  
  • 3-4 years of solid accounting experience.
  • Not-for-profit experience preferred.
  • Experience with international locations including an understanding of foreign currency preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, project management, interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Strong computer skills. Proficiency in MS Office and QuickBooks. 
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to complete job responsibilities with minimal assistance and the ability to identify when help is needed.
  • Able to work in team environment and must be comfortable working in a result oriented environment requiring overtime (on an as needed basis) and the meeting of fixed deadlines.

Salary: $65,000 – $67,000 per year

We are searching for a C.N.A. or HHA experienced in long-term care who will be responsible for delivering hands on patient care under the direct supervision of the Registered or Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Collaborates with nursing staff and Society members to ensure efficient care delivery based on member, unit and facility needs.
• Utilizes knowledge of Society member’s age and cultural diversity as it relates to the provision of care.
• At the direction of Director/DON/Charge Nurse travels/accompanies Society Members who are sent out via Ambulance or need assistance at external care facilities.
• Relays pertinent information to hospital personnel and information from the hospital to the Nurse Supervisor/Nurse regarding care and or staff when relieved.
• Ensure safety of Society members, assist with their needs, advocate and communicate status with above.
• Must have C.N.A. or HHA certification
• Must be experienced in Long Term Geriatric care or have comparable experience.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and comply with Maryknoll policy regarding driving a Society vehicle.
• Must have a High diploma, maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA requirements.
